Now the Hugging Face agent course is getting real! With frameworks like smolagents, LlamaIndex, and LangChain.

This week we are releasing the first framework unit in the course and it’s on smolagents. This is what the unit covers:

- why should you use smolagents vs another library?
- how to build agents that use code
- build multiagents systems
- use vision language models for browser use

The team has been working flat out on this for a few weeks. Led by @sergiopaniego and supported by smolagents author @m-ric .

We compressed SmolLMs to make 135 variations of them (see

PrunaAI ) with different quantization configurations with pruna (https://docs.pruna.ai/en/latest/).

We made a blog to summarize our findings (see https://www.pruna.ai/blog/smollm2-smaller-faster) and small LM can be made smaller! :)

Hey!

✨ If you're using HF access tokens, we just released an overview of the permissions for fine-grained tokens by hovering over the badge on token settings page (org and user)

It will show the highest permission you've set for each entity 👀

After some heated discussion 🔥, we clarify our intent re. storage limits on the Hub

TL;DR:
- public storage is free, and (unless blatant abuse) unlimited. We do ask that you consider upgrading to PRO and/or Enterprise Hub if possible
- private storage is paid above a significant free tier (1TB if you have a paid account, 100GB otherwise)
